Frisco is about to get a taste of Tony Gemignani’s Slice House, with a new fast-casual outpost slated to open at 5995 Preston Rd. #102 in January 2026. The compact shop is set to serve pizza by the slice and whole pies across New York, Grandma, Sicilian and Detroit crust styles, along with pastas, wings, salads and gluten-free and vegan options. The debut brings the California-born brand into the Dallas-Fort Worth market under a local franchise partner.

According to CultureMap Dallas, the Frisco Slice House will take over a former grilled-cheese shop at the same Preston Road address and is aiming for a January 2026 opening. “Opening our first Texas location in the heart of Frisco is a huge milestone for Slice House,” Gemignani said in the announcement, the outlet reports. The story also notes that the restaurant will seat 30 people inside and 8 outside, will offer takeout, online ordering and delivery, and will operate seven days a week, from 11 am to 9 pm Sunday through Thursday and until 10 pm on Friday and Saturday.

Menu and hours

The Frisco shop’s lineup will lean hard into variety. Diners can choose from four crust styles — traditional New York, homestyle Grandma, rustic Sicilian and Detroit-style — all available by the slice or as whole pies, with gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian choices in the mix, plus pasta, wings and salads, per Community Impact. On the drinks side, the menu is expected to feature local craft beers and premium wines alongside the usual sodas. The setup is fast-casual, geared for quick grab-and-go lunches as well as family takeout runs.

Franchising push in DFW

The Frisco location is part of a larger Dallas-Fort Worth expansion, backed by a multi-unit franchise agreement for the area. A late-2023 deal with restaurateur Dan Hawkins helped launch the chain’s move into Texas, industry reports say. Pizza Marketplace detailed the 20-unit agreement and highlighted Slice House’s rapid franchising growth in recent years.

From North Beach to North Texas

Gemignani built his pizza reputation in San Francisco, where he opened Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in 2009 and went on to rack up multiple world pizza titles, a calling card the brand leans on as it expands. Wikipedia notes his competitive pedigree and his role in developing several restaurant concepts, including Slice House.

Where to find it

Slice House already flags Frisco as a “Coming Soon” site on its official locations page, and the brand says more Dallas-area outposts are planned in spots like McKinney. Slice House Locations lists the Frisco address as 5995 Preston Rd, Frisco, TX 75034 and tags the site as coming soon.
