The Houston Fire Department reported the death of Firefighter Brandy Allinience from job-related cancer. Allinience joined the department in 2014 and was assigned to Station 21. Her death is the fourth reported loss of a Houston-area first responder to job-related cancer within the past month, according to CW39.
A procession honoring Brandy Allinience was held on Wednesday from MD Anderson Cancer Center through the Texas Medical Center to Klein Funeral Home in Tomball. The Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association shared a message of condolence, stating, "Houston firefighters extend our condolences. Arrangements are pending. Please keep her family, friends and station crew in your thoughts and prayers," as per KHOU.
Allinience is among several Houston-area first responders recently lost to cancer, including La Marque Police Sgt. Richard Garcia, League City Police Lt. Eric Cox, and Rosenberg Firefighter Tyler Macha. The Rosenberg Fire Department honored Macha’s service, saying, "During his years with the Rosenberg Fire Department, Tyler showed extraordinary dedication to his craft and to his team. Whether it was training, responding to emergencies, or stepping up when someone needed help, he did it all with quiet strength and unwavering commitment."
