The child, identified as a boy roughly between the ages of 4 and 6, was discovered alone at approximately 2:40 a.m. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office took to social media to disseminate the boy's description: standing 3’11” tall and weighing between 40 to 50 pounds, with hazel eyes, and a distinct shaved head. He was attired in a white shirt paired with blue sweatpants at the time of discovery, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Facebook post.
The sheriff's office’s post, a clarion call to action, was met with immediate support from the community as residents and netizens alike began to spread the word in hopes of a quick resolution to the situation. The call was simple, yet imperative: anyone with information on the child's identity was urged to reach out to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904.630.0500 to assist in reuniting the child with his family.
The collective effort bore fruit when the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced, "Good news! We have identified this child and reunited him family." The relief was palpable as the department extended its thanks, saying, "Thank you to everyone who helped us spread the word."
