A six-month investigation by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has culminated in the arrest of a father and son duo, along with a third suspect, for operating an illicit pill press operation. Antonio Williams, 51, and his son, Brandon Williams, 34, were taken into custody last week following a raid of their drug house by the JSO's SWAT Team and Narcotics detectives. The operation was uncovered on Round Table Court where significant amounts of illegal drugs and firearms were seized.
According to the official report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, detectives initiated their investigation following a tip about suspicious drug activity off Lane Avenue. The Williams were identified early in the probe and were found to be shifting their operation's location several times, eluding authorities until last Wednesday, December 10, when their setup was finally dismantled.
The seizure included four pill presses, a combination of controlled substances including 1,001.9 grams of MDMA, 8.3 grams of Methamphetamine, 5.1 grams of Cocaine, and 68 grams of Marijuana. Added to the haul were two firearms, compounding the severity of the offenses discovered at the scene. The raid also led to the apprehension of 31-year-old Jared Woods, who is now facing similar felony charges.
Perhaps most disturbing, the residence where the drugs were processed housed not just narcotics and weaponry, but also a child. This has led to felony child neglect charges for both Antonio and Brandon Williams, complicating an already fraught legal situation, as mentioned on the Sheriff's Office website.
