During heavy rain in the city, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office posted on social media advising football fans to plan ahead before the Jaguars’ game against the Colts. The Facebook post provided guidance on preparation and patience for those traveling to the stadium in the rainy conditions.
“It’s gameday, and we work rain or shine and today, there’s a lot of rain,” the Facebook post stated. Fans were advised to "pack your patience, grab your rain jackets and ponchos, and take it slow on the roads." With additional rain expected later in the day, the Sheriff's Office noted that delays could occur both traveling to the game and returning home.
The Facebook post also highlighted the efforts of the team and public safety partners to maintain a "safe and enjoyable gameday experience despite the weather." The Sheriff's Office concluded with a message to the community: "Stay safe and let’s go Jags! 🐾"
