The Jacksonville community breathed a collective sigh of relief as the Sheriff's Office announced the safe location of 10-year-old Ryan White. After a shiver of worry reverberated through the city when Ryan was reported missing for the second time in a week, the good news came as a welcome update. In a recent social media post, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shared, "2:08 p.m. Update: Good news! We located Ryan, and he is safe. Thank you to everyone who helped us spread the word!"
Ryan had been last seen in the vicinity of Wilson Street near Moncrief Road, according to the Sheriff's Office, and his absence was brought to the attention of authorities about 11:35 a.m. Friday morning. Fitting the description of a child 5’01” and 115 pounds, with brown eyes and black dreds, Ryan's appearance was distinctly noted for his navy-blue shirt and an unspecified color hoodie, along with white and blue shorts. The Sheriff's Office appealed to the public's sense of vigilance, "If you see Ryan or know where he is, call us at 904.630.0500. Please share this post so we can spread the word faster,!" as mentioned on the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
The Sheriff’s Office said the case was resolved quickly and thanked community members and online groups for sharing information that helped locate the child. Officials confirmed that Ryan was found safe. Ryan was located safely, bringing relief to the Jacksonville community after an extensive search effort.
