As the holiday season approaches, Jefferson Parish gears up for a festive display with the 3rd Annual Lighting of the Oaks at Hope Haven. The event, led by Councilman Deano Bonano and State Senator Patrick Connick, promises to illuminate the night with a visually captivating experience for the community. Slated for Thursday, December 4, at 6 p.m., the gathering invites all to bask in the glow of Hope Haven Fitness Trail's enchanting lights, as mentioned on Jefferson Parish's official website.
Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to joyfully stroll under the starry lights that will cascade along the walking trail, infusing a sense of winter wonderland magic. According to the Jefferson Parish announcement, eight stately oak trees stand guard in front of the Hope Haven Campus, carefully decked out in holiday cheer, with the fountain, reindeer, and big red ornaments complementing the glowing display. This year, even Barataria Boulevard is set to be adorned with twinkling lights, creating a festive atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Access to the Lighting of the Oaks at Hope Haven is free for all community members and visitors. The annual event allows attendees to enjoy an evening of holiday lights adorning the oaks, providing a festive setting for residents to come together during the holiday season.
Local officials Bonano and Connick partnered to organize this year’s holiday lighting event, which aims to bring the community together and enhance the festive atmosphere. Residents can look forward to walking under the illuminated oaks, a central feature of the evening’s festivities, as the event continues the parish’s tradition of seasonal celebrations, according to the same news.
