
On Sunday, a 59-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run on West Flamingo Road after stepping into the path of a westbound 2000 Ford F-150 outside a crosswalk. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene, unable to provide medical aid, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The driver, 35-year-old Jacob Huber of Las Vegas, left the scene without stopping. The incident marks the 153rd traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD jurisdiction this year, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Authorities found the Ford and arrested the driver, Huber, on hit-and-run charges. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Collision Investigation Section is investigating the crash and asks anyone with information to call (702) 828-3595.
