Las Vegas Metro Police are asking the public for help in identifying suspects in a series of thefts. The suspects have been targeting senior citizens with expensive jewelry. They approach seniors near their vehicles, ask for directions, and then offer a prayer of gratitude before stealing their valuables, as reported by FOX5 Vegas.
Since February 2025, a series of crimes targeting seniors have occurred across the Las Vegas valley. Police describe the suspects as Middle Eastern or Eastern European men and women, aged 20 to 60, using multiple vehicles and distinct accents, as per News3LV.
Authorities urge anyone with information or who may have been a victim to contact the LVMPD at 702-828-8577 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555. The suspects reportedly use manipulative tactics, including offering prayers, to gain the trust of elderly victims, emphasizing the need for community vigilance.
