According to information provided on the Louisiana State Police website, at roughly 5:54 p.m. yesterday, 62-year-old Brian L. Hardwick of Leesville was struck and killed while walking along Louisiana Highway 117, at the intersection with Louisiana Highway 111.
The initial findings of the ongoing investigation highlight a grim scene in which Hardwick was in the roadway when a 2015 Lexus, heading southbound, collided with him despite the fading light of day, this collision resulted in injuries that proved to be fatal for Hardwick who was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
