
The Placer County Sheriff's Office has extradited Missouri resident Steven Ohrie Williams III to California to face multiple felony charges related to child exploitation. He is accused of communicating with a minor in Placer County to obtain illicit material, as reported by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
Williams was apprehended on November 4 with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service, St. Charles County Police, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. He now faces charges including sending harmful matter to seduce a minor and possession of child pornography, as stated by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect is booked in the Placer County Jail on serious charges including PC 288(c)(1), PC 311.11(a), PC 288.2(a)(2), and PC 288.3(a), all related to illegal activities involving a minor. "The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is committed to safeguarding children in our community," according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page, which added that it will continue working with law enforcement partners to identify and hold accountable those involved in child exploitation crimes.
