The town of Rolesville has officially announced Jason Deitch as the new head of the fire department, bringing years of experience to an ever-expanding community. Deitch, moving over from his recent stint at Garner Fire-Rescue where he served as the Assistant Fire Chief, is set to take over the chief’s helmet after a successful career that has spanned over two decades.
Deitch's tenure in Garner was marked by significant accomplishments, including playing a crucial part in the fire department's achievement of an ISO Class 1 rating and securing a CPSE Accredited Agency status. The town of Rolesville expects Deitch to not only bring his leadership skills but also to strategically manage to continue the department’s legacy of excellence. According to a statement obtained by the Town of Rolesville, he is "committed to building on the department’s proud history while preparing for the opportunities and challenges of a fast-growing community."
Beginning his journey as a volunteer junior firefighter with the Durham Highway Fire Department in 1998, Deitch quickly rose through the ranks after turning professional in 2003. In his previous roles, he has not only led firefighting teams but also served on the Board of Directors for multiple fire departments, helping to unify services and streamline operations.
Education has been a pivotal part of Chief Deitch’s journey, armed with degrees in Fire Sciences and Fire Administration and currently set to complete the Fire Rescue Management Institute program. His commitment to ongoing education stands as a testament to his dedication to the fire service profession. "It is a true honor to serve the Town of Rolesville and the dedicated members of the Rolesville Fire Department," Deitch said, according to the Town of Rolesville's press release.
