The streets of South King County came alive this past November as the South King Fire & Rescue hosted their Fifth Annual Mustache Dash, attracting participants from across the community to raise awareness and funds for men’s health and local support initiatives. Despite the winter chill, runners and walkers sporting natural and novelty mustaches showed solidarity and philanthropy, as reported by the South King Fire Department.
A representative of South King Fire & Rescue expressed a heartfelt "thank you" to all who were involved, noting that the funds raised will directly benefit community programs. The event not only encouraged exercise but also fostered awareness and engagement among residents, as stated by the South King Fire Department.
The Mustache Dash in King County supports fire safety education, cancer screening programs, and wellness initiatives for first responders while raising awareness about men's health in November. According to the South King Fire Department on their Facebook page, "We are so proud to serve a community that consistently shows up to support our efforts, whether we’re responding to an emergency or hosting a fundraising event." The department added, "Will we see you on the course with us next year?"
