Farragut's festive skaters have reason to rejoice, as Visit Farragut has just announced an extension to the skating season. In a social media post yesterday, the organizers revealed that Campbell Station Skate will break its usual Monday closure to open one last time this season on December 29 from 4 to 8 PM. "Due to an incredibly busy season, we’re adding one more night of skating!" the post on Visit Farragut Facebook post exclaimed. The event promises to offer the community an extra opportunity to enjoy this wintertime activity.
Responding to the high demand and in a bid to surely make the holiday season more memorable, Visit Farragut made the decision to open the rink for an additional evening, inviting skaters to "grab your friends, lace up your skates, and join us for this bonus night before the season wraps up!" As the local skating rink was to close down for the season, this last-minute extension offers both regular enthusiasts and first-timers another chance to slide, glide and maybe even stumble, one more time under the brilliant festoon lights, as mentioned on a social media post.
The extension follows what the organization deems to be a highly successful season, which saw an increase in attendance at the rink. The decision to open the rink on a day it's typically closed underlines the community-driven ethos of Visit Farragut, always looking for ways to better serve the public and enrich the festive period with additional cheer and social gathering opportunities.
The announcement has been warmly received by the community, with many taking to social media to express their gratitude and excitement for the extended season. "With the season winding down, we wanted to give everyone one more chance to hit the ice and enjoy the fun," Visit Farragut shared on their social media. It seems the organizers are determined to fully embrace the community's spirit and offer up a space for creating more winter memories.
