
White Settlement Police Department took to social media to provide an update on their November monthly crime report, showing a noticeable uptick in arrests and a significant decrease in property crimes within the area, a post shared on Facebook detailed the numbers, with arrests climbing approximately 16% over the previous month, while property crimes saw a 27% reduction, down to 21 offenses against the 29 reported in October.
"Arrests were up about 16% as compared to October," the department reported, highlighting an increase in the number of apprehensions made, it's a move that suggests a tightening of law enforcement efforts or perhaps an uptick in criminal activities necessitating police action, all while property crimes "trended down significantly by 27%" with the department recording a drop to 21 offenses this indicates not only a moment of relief for residents worried about break-ins and theft but also a potential sign of progress in community policing strategies, that even while the report also indicated a count of 3 violent crimes in the same month.
