The City of Woodstock is all set to bring the holiday spirit to its residents and visitors with its 29th Annual Christmas Jubilee & Parade of Lights this coming Sunday, December 7, 2025. The event, which has been a local tradition for almost three decades, is expected to brighten the evening with a parade commencing at 5:30 p.m., winding its way from Woodstock Elementary School on Rope Mill Road and down Main Street to its conclusion at Sam's Club on Highway 92. As per Woodstock's official announcement, road closures will start at 5:15 p.m. to accommodate the celebration, and attendees are encouraged to factor in extra time for detours and parking.

Before the parade takes center stage, day-long downtown shopping is available, providing the perfect opportunity to shop local this holiday season. To satisfy culinary cravings, downtown eateries and food vendors will be in full swing, ready to serve up tasty meals and treats to guests. Despite the potential for weather uncertainties, the City of Woodstock promises rain or shine festivities, unless, adverse weather conditions interfere.

Following the parade, The Park at City Center is the hotspot for ongoing celebrations where the fun continues with an array of activities and entertainment lined up. Highlights include Santa visits, a grand 30-foot Christmas Tree Lighting by Santa and Mayor Michael Caldwell, and awarding of the most festive and creative parade floats. Families can also indulge in free activities like sugar plum cupcake decorating, cookies, hot cider, hot chocolate, and kid-friendly crafts at the Kris Kringle Kidz Kraft Area.

"The Christmas Jubilee & Parade of Lights has been a cherished Woodstock tradition for nearly three decades," Brian Borden, Woodstock Parks and Recreation Director told in the City of Woodstock official statement. In addition to the parade and celebrations, children have the opportunity to drop off letters at Santa's Mailbox in the gazebo from November 27 through December 14 and receive a personalized response from Saint Nick himself.
