A late-night confrontation at Ala Moana Beach Park left a 42-year-old man with a stab wound and in serious condition early Sunday, according to Honolulu police. Officers were called shortly before 12:30 a.m. to the popular shoreline park after an altercation involving the victim, his girlfriend and another man. The suspect took off before police arrived and had not been identified as detectives continued their investigation.
Police say the dispute began over a woman
Investigators say the trouble started when the suspect, who was known to the victim's girlfriend, claimed the woman as his partner. The argument escalated into a physical fight, during which the 42-year-old man was allegedly stabbed with an unknown object, possibly a knife. Emergency crews treated his wound at the scene before rushing him to the hospital, where he was listed in serious condition. As reported by the Star-Advertiser, police have not released the suspect's identity and say the case remains open.
