
The SCAD TVfest is scheduled to take place February 4–6 at SCAD’s Midtown campus, including SCADshow, in Atlanta. The event will feature screenings, roundtables, and in-person discussions with television industry professionals. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, attendees will have opportunities to network with creatives during designated sessions.
The Savannah College of Art and Design will recognize several contributors in television during SCAD TVfest. Quinta Brunson, creator and star of Abbott Elementary, will receive the Variety Creative Showrunner Award. Jeff Probst, host of Survivor, will be honored with the Legend of Television Award, and Lili Reinhart will receive the Spotlight Award for her work in Hal & Harper, as per Rough Draft Atlanta. The festival highlights a range of accomplishments within the television industry.
Tickets for SCAD TVfest are available, starting at $30 per day for SCAD cardholders and alumni, and $60 for general admission. Panels will cover topics such as casting, costume design, and the production process of television shows. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view a session on the writing process for Saturday Night Live.
The festival will feature the Netflix series Bridgerton, which is set to receive the Outstanding Achievement in a Series Award. Other honorees include Aldis Hodge, who will receive the Luminary Award for Cross, and Jackson White, who will receive the Rising Star Award for Tell Me Lies. SCAD President Paula Wallace noted that the event provides SCAD students and alumni opportunities to engage with industry professionals, including Emmy Award winners, showrunners, and casting experts.
