
The Austin Police Department is turning to the community for assistance in a recent theft case. A male suspect is wanted in connection to a theft that occurred at Twin Liquors located at 1801 E 51st Street, as reported on January 5th. The incident took place on December 30, 2025, around 11 a.m. where the individual is said to have concealed several liquor bottles in his pants before leaving the establishment without paying.
Described as a Black male in his early 30s with a medium build, the suspect was last seen wearing grey sweats, distinctive Nike Air Flight Huaraches in black, white, pink, and teal, topped off with an Oilers cap. The Austin Police are seeking any information that could lead to identifying–and ultimately arresting–the individual involved. A reward of up to $1,000 is on offer for tips that culminate in an arrest, a detail reported by Austin Police Department.
Tips can be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program. Potential informants are encouraged to share what they know either by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. The Austin Police underline the importance of community involvement, emphasizing that even seemingly minor details can be crucial in such cases.
