The Bartram Trail Branch Library is set for a temporary shutdown starting Monday, February 2. The closure, necessary for air conditioning replacement and other renovations, is slated for around eight weeks, with services expected to resume by the middle of March. This was reported based on information provided by the official library notice on their website.
Reflective of the disruption, patrons won't have to fret about returning items or accumulating late fees, as due dates are suspended and fines will not pile up during the renovation. Those with items on hold will have a grace period extended to seven days for collections. However, as the library announced, “the book drop will be closed” while they get a facelift, according the county's website.
Access to some services won't be entirely severed. For those needing to snag their holds or drop off items, a makeshift setup through the front entrance into a meeting room has been arranged. Open hours are communicated as follows: Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with an extension until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the library will continue to help patrons, albeit in a limited capacity. The library emphasizes that this service will not be available on Sundays.
Patrons preferring a more nomadic approach to their library services, the Bookmobile remains in action with its roaming resources. Schedules and further information are readily found on the library's Bookmobile web page, or by contacting the library directly either via email at [email protected] or by calling 904-827-6944. This contact detail comes directly from the county's announcement of the temporary closure.
