Utah-born coffee chain Beans & Brews has quietly muscled its way into the Dallas-Fort Worth market, opening a new shop in Mansfield that is betting big on protein-packed drinks. The café pairs classic espresso staples with hot and iced protein coffees and matcha, giving locals another spot for a quick breakfast and a fortified caffeine fix along one of Tarrant County’s busier retail stretches.
Family-run Mansfield franchise
According to a company news release reported by The Dallas Morning News, the Mansfield location is operated by GMV Holdings, a family-owned group. Owner Cari Golovich told the paper, "We wanted something we could build as a family." The outlet also noted that the Mansfield shop is the brand’s first in D-F-W and its eighth location in Texas.
What they'll pour
The menu blends standard coffeehouse fare such as espresso, cappuccinos, lattes and mochas with protein-focused creations that lean into the gym-bag crowd. Drinks like the Protein Buff, Protein Caramel Charger and Protein Mighty Matcha are featured on the store’s delivery listing on Uber Eats, and customers can order ahead through the brand’s app-based system or via delivery partners.
Inside the Mansfield shop
Beans & Brews lists the Mansfield address as 2411 E. Broad St. on its location page at Beans & Brews, along with morning hours geared toward breakfast service. The company told The Dallas Morning News that city zoning rules at the site keep the shop from adding a drive-thru, so customers will have to step inside to place or pick up orders. The chain also promotes a "Brew Good" community program that donates to animal shelters, mental health organizations and teachers, according to the company’s community page.
Protein drinks go mainstream
The Mansfield debut lands at a time when protein drinks are no longer a niche side hustle for coffee chains. Starbucks rolled out Protein Lattes and Protein Cold Foam nationwide last year, noting in its own announcement that protein-boosted beverages are now firmly in the mainstream. For Mansfield coffee fans, that translates to one more option if you want your morning caffeine to pull double duty as a protein boost.
