The Boston Police Department has officially expanded its ranks with the addition of 50 new members following the graduation of Boston Police Academy Class #66-25. According to a news release on the Boston Police Department's official website, the ceremony took place last Friday and was overseen by Mayor Wu and Commissioner Cox.
During the ceremony, which marked the start of these new officers' careers, they took an oath to serve the city. "We thank these new officers for choosing to serve our city, and we extend our gratitude to their families and loved ones for the support that helped them reach this milestone," the Boston Police Department expressed. After the officers had begun their journey, they welcomed the officers with their new badges.
The new class of officers is ready to meet the challenges of modern urban policing. The Boston Police Department stated, “Congratulations and best of luck to Class #66-25 as you begin your journey with the BPD!” The public will be closely watching their work and commitment to protecting and serving.
