A national drive-thru coffee brand is taking aim at one of Huntsville’s busiest corridors, with plans in motion to bring a 7Brew to 11th Street and add another quick-service option to the Sam Houston State University orbit. State paperwork lists the proposed shop at 1718A 11th Street and names Riley Enright as the franchisee on the project.
According to What Now Houston, the build appears in the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation’s TABS system under project number TABS2026010294, and the outlet reports it has reached out to Enright for comment. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation project page functions as the state registration developers file before they move on to local construction plans.
7Brew started as a drive-thru stand in Rogers, Arkansas, in 2017 and has since grown aggressively. The company’s About page now touts “600+ Stands and counting” and more than 20,000 drink combinations, according to 7 Brew. On its site, the brand pitches its core idea as “the concept of cultivating kindness and joy with every drink.”
Where It Will Sit
Commercial listings for the 1718 block show the parcel tucked just off Interstate 45, next to an H-E-B and within about a mile of Sam Houston State University, a prime stretch for grab-and-go concepts that live on car traffic. A recent listing for 1718 11th Street describes the site as commercial-zoned with frontage on 11th Street and major retailers close by, which helps explain why a drive-thru coffee stand would be eyeing the corner, per Crexi.
What Locals Can Expect
For Huntsville residents, a new 7Brew would mean another fast caffeine stop for commuters and students, along with the usual round of retail-level hiring that tends to follow when one of the chain’s stands opens. Before anyone orders a drink, though, developers still have to work through the city’s permitting and inspection requirements detailed by the City of Huntsville.
The state filing does not list an opening date, and the timeline will depend on construction milestones and final inspections. We will be watching the TDLR project record and local permit filings for updates as the build-out moves forward.
