The district has shown that, against the state's growth, which has seen an increase by a substantial 11.5 percentage points over the last decade and an even more impressive 23.2 percentage points since 2009-2010, their commitment to education has borne fruit, with these figures representing not just numbers, but the culmination of years of dedication from staff and students alike, yielding real success stories; and for the first time, all subgroups in every Duval high school now boast a graduation rate over 90%, each celebrating their achievements with African American students at 93.6%, Hispanic students at 94.1%, and Asian students reaching a remarkable 98.2% graduation rate, according to the Duval County Public Schools.
Remarkable school-level accomplishments were highlighted, with Baldwin, Paxon School for Advanced Studies, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Darnell-Cookman School of the Medical Arts, Stanton College Preparatory, and Samuel W. Wolfson High School each, each reaching a perfect 100% graduation rate, while Westside High School and Englewood High School witnessed the most substantial increases, each improving by 6.35 and 5.59 percentage points respectively, in a statement obtained by Duval County Public Schools.
