Five men allegedly connected to rival motorcycle clubs have been indicted on charges of Gang Assault in the First and Second Degrees, along with other related offenses. According to the Suffolk County District Attorney, the individuals, Roger Clarke, Christopher Clarke, Joseph Bivona, Michael Baffa, and Robert Miller, are accused of involvement in an armed altercation that took place on Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst in September 2025.

District Attorney Tierney described the incident as a dangerous outbreak of violence. It began at a memorial service at a Lindenhurst bar and escalated into a confrontation at the Route 66 gas station. The altercation involved knives, hammers, and other weapons, resulting in multiple serious injuries. Alleged members of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club and the Demons of Hell Motorcycle Club, a support group associated with the Hells Angels, were involved. The five individuals charged engaged in actions that led to victims requiring emergency surgeries.

Roger Clarke, 53, and Christopher Clarke, 21, both from New Hampshire and identified as members of the Demons of Hell, allegedly used knives and hammers in an assault on a member of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, causing a stab wound that required surgery. Another Pagan’s member, while attempting to escape, was allegedly stabbed by Roger Clarke, resulting in liver and colon lacerations. A 76-year-old alleged Hells Angel member was also assaulted with weapons, including baseball bats, by Bivona, Baffa, and Miller, all identified as members of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, resulting in a brain bleed that required multiple surgeries.

The formal arraignments of the accused took place on Tuesday through Wednesday, with Justice John B. Collins setting bail. Roger Clarke and Bivona were ordered held on $75,000 cash or $750,000 bond, while Christopher Clarke’s bail was set at $25,000 cash or $250,000 bond. Baffa’s and Miller’s bail was set at the same level as Bivona’s and Roger Clarke’s. Each defendant is represented by separate attorneys. If convicted of the top count, they face a potential prison sentence of up to 25 years. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Ashley Cangro and Melissa Turk of the Violent Criminal Enterprises Bureau.

The investigation leading to the indictments was conducted jointly by the Suffolk County Police Department's First Precinct Detective Squad and the Criminal Intelligence Section, led by Detective Corey Malinowski.
