Governor Abbott reappointed Eduardo Contreras, Lisa Fullerton, and Omar Veliz to the Small Business Assistance Advisory Task Force, with terms running through June 14, 2027.

The agriculture sector sees new appointments with Nelda Barrera, Colby McClendon, and Scott Frazier joining the Texas Agriculture Finance Authority for terms that expire on January 1, 2027. Following closely, Zachary Davis, Justin Tucker, and Tommy Henderson were also appointed, but their terms are set to conclude a year later, on January 1, 2028.

Kenny Marchant and Ajay Thomas were reappointed to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, with terms through January 1, 2031. Darryl Heath and Colt McCoy were appointed, and Ashlie Thomas reappointed, to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, all serving until August 31, 2031.

Jason LaFond has been appointed to the Texas Pharmaceutical Initiative Governing Board for a term ending February 1, 2027. He will work on strategies for cost-effective drug supply for public employees.

Addressing the ongoing challenge of providing affordable housing to low-income residents, Governor Abbott named Lemuel Williams, Jr. as chair of the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation Board of Directors. Alongside Williams, Jr., David Lewis and Valerie Vargas Cardenas were appointed to the board, committing to terms that conclude on February 1, 2031.
