The Highland Heights Police Department has issued new safety measures for Sky Zone in response to escalating concerns about overcrowding and disorderly conduct at the trampoline park. In a social media post shared last Friday, January 2, the department laid out the strategies it's implementing in collaboration with City Hall and Sky Zone management to rein in the recent uptick in disturbances.
Effective immediately, minors under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult inside the facility. Moreover, the department has mandated an increased security presence, with two off-duty officers stationed on the premises on weekends - Fridays through Sundays. The police have also established clear conduct standards, rejecting unaccompanied minors sent via ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft, addressing the community's call for sterner regulations and active law enforcement engagement.
The Highland Heights Police Department, official social media announcement further reinforces the focus on sustaining a secure and controlled environment. "Continued cooperation between management and the Police Department to ensure safety as a priority," read the post, conveying a concerted effort to monitor and promptly handle any disruptive or unsafe behavior.
In addition to heightened safety protocols at Sky Zone, the police department has reminded the public about the city's curfew laws, which are enforced to guarantee the well-being of the youth. The curfew for minors is as follows: under 12 years old, from darkness to dawn, ages 12–15, 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and ages 16–17, 12:00 midnight to 6:00 a.m. The city's dedication to collaboration and public engagement remains steadfast, inviting the community to reach out with concerns and participate in a dialogue aimed at preserving the high quality of life characteristic of Highland Heights.
