The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is increasing recruitment efforts this month, highlighting upcoming police and corrections academy classes in a recent social media post. Prospective recruits are invited to attend two scheduled recruitment events, where they will complete a physical test, a polygraph questionnaire, and a written assessment as part of the application process.
Prospective recruits can attend a Saturday morning session at 7 a.m., or a midweek session on Jan. 21, at 4 p.m. Both events will be held at the Northeast Florida Criminal Justice Center on Capper Road, according to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook post. The department also noted that additional recruitment events will be scheduled throughout the year for those unable to attend the January sessions.
The Sheriff’s Office is encouraging interested candidates to visit their recruitment website, JoinJSO.com, for a full list of available positions.
