The Cobb County Public Library and The Book Worm Bookstore are presenting the Together We Read: Cobb Library Book Festival, a day-long event centered on literature, creativity, and community. The event is free and will be held on March 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the North Cobb Regional Library in Kennesaw.
The festival will open with a keynote by Nic Stone, author of Dear Martin. Breanna McDaniel, the 2025 Ezra Jack Keats Writer Award recipient, will serve as moderator for the panel discussions. Other featured authors include Wanda Morris, Terry J. Benton-Walker, and Tanisia Moore. According to the Cobb County Government, the event will also include drawing sessions with Andy Runton of the Owly series and a meet-and-greet with the Dog Man mascot for young attendees.
The festival will feature a Kids' Corner with activities for young readers, including drawing sessions, mascot appearances, and giveaways, offering family-friendly programming. Keith Schuermann, Cobb Library Director, described the festival as an important development for the library, while Julia Davis, owner of The Book Worm Bookstore, highlighted the partnership’s focus on creating an inclusive space for readers. The event will also include live book signings and local food vendors.
Updates on the festival will be available on social media and the Cobb County Library website. The event in March in Kennesaw will feature activities related to books, technology, and community arts.
