The spring season is about to get a whole lot more colorful in Lewisville with the upcoming ColorPalooza: A Celebration of Spring festival. Set to paint the town with creativity and eco-friendliness, the city is now inviting vendors to take part in this vibrant affair. Interested artists, nonprofits, and eco-conscious exhibitors can apply to showcase their goods and services at the event that focuses on arts, culture, and environmental sustainability.
According to the City of Lewisville, a broad array of vendor categories is being considered, including Artist/Exhibitor vendors, Nonprofit vendors, Food Product Exhibitor vendors, and those specializing in green initiatives for Eco-Alley. However, applications from corporate entities and standard food vendors are notably absent this year – the latter being hand-picked by festival organizers to ensure a cultural culinary experience. The deadline for vendor applications is drawing near, March 29, so those interested should mark their calendars accordingly.
The festival itself will span the daylight hours of April 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Wayne Ferguson Plaza. ColorPalooza is a no-charge event promising a family-friendly environment bursting with artistic expression and hands-on learning. Visitors can expect to engage directly with artistry, from admiring the work of skilled artists to participating in workshops and environmental stewardship education.
To meet the criteria for an Artist/Exhibitor booth, products displayed are required to be original creations. As described on the City of Lewisville, acceptable items include "paintings, sculpture, pottery/ceramics, textile arts, photography, hand-carved items, handmade jewelry, bead work, up-cycled materials, mosaics, hand-sewn quilts, crafts, leatherworking, metalworking, stained glass, and blown glass objects." This kaleidoscope of craftwork underscores the festival's commitment to handmade artistry and the personal touch of the individual creators.
