The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has announced a significant drug bust following a long-term investigation targeting a local convicted felon suspected of dealing narcotics. The subject of the investigation, 39-year-old Jules Miller, was apprehended last month after detectives carried out a coordinated operation.
According to the social media post by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Miller was utilizing a house, an apartment unit, and storage unit in the Wesconnett area to distribute and store his illegal merchandise. On December 15, detectives served search warrants at all three locations, uncovering a substantial cache of drugs and illegal firearms.
Items seized during the searches included 17.9 grams of Fentanyl, potent enough to be considered nearly 9,000 potentially fatal doses; 193 grams of Methamphetamine; 55.5 grams of Mushrooms; 37.4 grams of Phenethylamines (Molly); 29.1 grams of Powder Cocaine; 23.5 grams of Crack Cocaine; 2.1 grams of Amphetamine pills; 19.3 grams of Marijuana; and 18.5 grams of an unidentified brown powder. In addition to the narcotics, law enforcement officers also found 3 handguns, illegal for Miller to possess due to his felon status, various pieces of jewelry, and nearly $10,000 in cash.
Miller faces multiple charges in the wake of the operation, with felony drug trafficking charges among them. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office issued a stark warning on their post following the arrest: "If you're selling drugs in our community, make it your New Year's resolution to get out of our city. If not, our Narcotics detectives will pay you a visit soon." They also urged citizens to report any suspicious activity, emphasizing that every tip could assist in their ongoing efforts.
