
Allen Williams, 65, of Memphis, was sentenced to 18 years after being convicted of stealing from residents at the Silvercreek Senior Living Community in Olive Branch, Mississippi. According to WREG, Williams, who was employed as a custodian at the facility, took items such as wedding rings and other personal belongings. Some of the stolen items were later recovered at pawn shops in Memphis, while others have not been recovered.
The DeSoto County District Attorney's Office, as reported by Local Memphis, shared details on Williams' sentencing. He will serve a prison term followed by 13 years of post-release supervision. District Attorney Matthew Barton highlighted the contribution of Olive Branch detectives in developing the case that resulted in Williams' conviction.
FOX13 Memphis reported that the DeSoto County District Attorney's Office shared additional information on the investigation conducted by the Olive Branch Police Department and the prosecution led by Assistant District Attorney Rosharwin Williams.
Williams was found guilty of thefts from the community based on the evidence presented by the prosecution. He will serve his sentence under the supervision of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. The items taken were of personal value to their owners.
