Memphis Safe Task Force (MSTF) on New Year’s Eve managed to put cuffs on 25 individuals suspected of criminal activities, including an alleged kidnapper and rapist, and they also confiscated 12 illicit firearms. This bust was part of a continuous endeavor to curb violent crime in the area, demonstrating a significant step towards community safety.

Jesse Clark stands accused of a litany of severe charges, amongst them aggravated kidnapping, rape, and assault, in addition to his intentions to illegally distribute substances like marijuana, methamphetamine, and fentanyl. It was only after interviewing the victim at the Tillman Precinct that agents conducted surveillance on a Given Avenue house to firmly identify and subsequently apprehend Clark. According to a press release from the U.S. Marshals Service, evidence backing the charges was discovered upon executing a search warrant at the premises.

Chief Inspector Chad Hunt of the U.S. Marshals Service, who also leads the MSTF, lauded the commitment of his team, stating, "The Memphis Safe Task Force is working around the clock, including holidays and weekends, to go after the worst of the worst to make Memphis safe." The arrest of Mr. Clark is showcased as a "prime example of why we're here," Hunt said.

Since starting up in September 2025, the multi-agency initiative has conducted 4,667 arrests and has succeeded to remove 745 illegal firearms from the Memphis streets. The MSTF initiative unites federal, state, and local enforcement, as well as the Tennessee National Guard, all working simultaneously to arrest violent criminals, execute pending warrants, confiscate firearms, and locate missing children.
