
Miami Mayor Eileen Higgins will attend the U.S. Conference of Mayors Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C., from tomorrow through Friday. The meeting will bring together mayors from across the country to discuss issues such as housing, infrastructure, and economic development. Ahead of the event, Higgins was appointed vice chair of the USCM Community Development and Housing Committee, according to the City of Miami.

USCM President David Holt, mayor of Oklahoma City, expressed support for her appointment, noting her leadership and focus on practical solutions for urban challenges.
Mayor Higgins highlighted the importance of the conference and her new role in a statement from the City of Miami, noting her readiness to join mayors from across the country in addressing urban challenges. She emphasized that issues like strong neighborhoods and affordable housing are key priorities for both her and the city.
