Teams have also been hard at work in the Lucy area, focusing on Sykes, Chase, and Lucy Roads.
The tireless work of Millington Public Works crews has been particularly notable as they supported the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) along Navy Road and helped clear intersections along Highway 51, two key state routes. Despite stretched resources, especially in Shelby County, Millington's dedication to public safety and infrastructure has helped to improve conditions substantially. "Throughout this winter weather event, Millington Public Works crews have supported TDOT along Navy Road and assisted with clearing intersections along Highway 51," the city reported.
However, residents are advised to remain vigilant as overnight refreezing has occurred, leaving neighborhood streets precarious. The city's statement encouraged limited travel, urging those who must venture out to slow down, exercise caution, and provide space for crews to safely continue their work.
