Milwaukee residents can expect continued winter weather as snow showers persist through the day. Forecasts indicate a 90 percent chance of snow showers mainly before 5 p.m., with possible snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures are expected to reach around 18 degrees, while wind chill values may range from zero to 5 degrees. North winds of 10 to 15 mph could contribute to reduced visibility and slick travel conditions. Overnight, temperatures are forecast to fall to near 10 degrees, with a 50 percent chance of additional snow showers, mainly between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Cold conditions are expected to continue through the weekend. Saturday may bring a chance of flurries before noon, followed by mostly sunny skies and a high near 23 degrees, with wind chills between minus 5 and 5 degrees. Snow shower chances return Sunday night, with a 50 percent probability.

Looking ahead, Monday is expected to be partly sunny, with snow showers possible again by Tuesday afternoon. High temperatures through early next week are forecast to remain below freezing.

The National Weather Service has also issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for parts of east central, south central, and southeast Wisconsin, where lake effect snow showers could produce 1 to 3 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts possible. Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
