The City of Moore, Oklahoma is offering a new program, Digital Parenting: Smartphone Safety, aimed at helping parents guide their children in using technology responsibly. The sessions are scheduled for Saturday and April 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at The Station Recreation Center. Parents of children ages 5 through teens are encouraged to attend, with children welcome to join or use on-site Child Watch/Kids Club services.
The City of Moore shared in a Facebook post that the event is free for pass holders, while non-passholders will pay $4 per child aged 6 months to 12 years. Registration is required, and interested participants can sign up on the city’s website or call 405-793-5090 for more information.
Officials said the program aims to equip families with practical tools for online safety and healthy smartphone habits. By participating, parents can gain guidance to help children navigate the digital world more safely, fostering responsible technology use from an early age.
