
The MSOE Undergraduate Research Showcase, held on Thursday in Diercks Hall, featured a wide range of student projects across multiple disciplines. Presentations included Samuel Salazar’s work on angularly insensitive electromagnetic absorbers, Holden Truman’s galaxy cluster mass measurements using Euclid space telescope data, and Rishikesh Katta and Noah Reynolds’ study on cough jet transport in microgravity.
According to the Milwaukee School of Engineering release, other projects included research on cold atmospheric plasma by Enzo Bova, Dylan Hadfield, Samuel McPeak, Brooke Stanley, and John Weinrich; Michael Phillips’ predictive modeling of movie profits; material studies on bentonite by Ada Parker, Emily Ross, Ellysa Shay, and Kevin Akins; and Cocoro Wachi’s work on calibrating sanitary sewer hydrology models.
In the same release, the MSOE Honors Program Servant Leadership Projects also highlighted community-focused initiatives, including partnerships with Victory Over Violence Park, CAGE Community Garden, the HIR Wellness Institute, and the “Our City of Nations” Conference.
