Goodfellas NY Italian Kitchen, a New York-style pizzeria, is gearing up to land in Addison Circle and take over the high-visibility space at 5026 Addison Cir. Owner Sunu Samuel is aiming for a mid-March debut, with plans for more than 20 varieties of pizza, plus pastas, subs, and a sit-down dining room that will serve wine and beer. The setup is clearly designed to catch both the walkable Addison Circle crowd and plenty of to-go business.
Who Is Behind It And When It Opens
According to CultureMap Dallas, Samuel, a veteran operator in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, was approached by the Addison Circle landlords and agreed to bring a New York-style wood-fire pizza and pasta concept to the address. The report notes that he previously owned Goodfella's Woodfired Pizza Pasta Vino in The Colony and is now launching the Goodfellas NY Italian Kitchen project in Addison. Samuel told CultureMap the team is targeting a mid-March opening.
Menu, Ovens And Dough
“Ours is different in that we add seminola, a coarse flour that's often used in bread and pasta,” Samuel told CultureMap Dallas. The planned menu includes meat lovers, BBQ chicken, Buffalo chicken, and an Indian-spiced tandoori pie, along with specialty options such as a burrata pie with creamy burrata, cherry tomatoes, and arugula, and a Sally pie topped with lemon-garlic chicken, mushrooms, and rosemary potato chips. The team will proof the dough for 48 hours and cook pizzas in a hybrid wood-and-gas oven, with pies expected to run about $16 to $22 and pastas about $10 to $18.
Where The Space Sits
Addison Circle is a walkable cluster of restaurants and park space that pulls in shoppers and office crowds, according to Visit Addison. Local listings indicate that the 5026 Addison Cir. unit most recently housed New York Pizza & Pints, per Tripadvisor. The incoming Goodfellas venture already has a coming-soon homepage at Goodfellas NY Italian Kitchen.
Samuel says the menu is designed for diners who crave Mulberry Street-style Italian while tailoring the crust and oven setup to Dallas tastes. If the mid-March target holds, Addison is set to gain another full-service pizza option that blends New York-style slices with a broader Italian lineup.
