The National Weather Service in Oklahoma City reported fog and mist this morning, with temperatures around 15°F and humidity at 91%. Visibility was reduced to about five miles, creating slower travel conditions during the morning commute.
Patchy freezing fog is expected to lift before 9 a.m., followed by sunny skies and a high near 39°F. Winds will remain light, becoming south to southwest at 5 to 9 mph later in the morning. Tonight, fog is forecast to redevelop after 2 a.m., including areas of freezing fog, with mostly cloudy skies and a low near 27°F. Winds are expected to remain from the south southwest at around 10 mph.
Looking ahead, the National Weather Service expects periods of fog again tomorrow morning before mostly sunny skies return, with a high near 36°F. The remainder of the week will feature a mix of sun and clouds with cold temperatures, including lows dropping into the teens and single digits at night. Milder conditions are forecast early next week, with highs reaching the low 50s by Monday and Tuesday.
