The program provides one-on-one sessions with trained interventionists, parent materials, and activities to support open discussions on topics like sex, consent, and contraception, as reported by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
Families Talking Together aims to reduce risky sexual behaviors in adolescents while promoting safety and trust within families. Parents interested in participating can fill out a form to access program resources and guidance, as stated by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health on their Facebook page, the Families Talking Together program allows parents to start by filling out an online form. A trained interventionist will then contact them to provide guidance through individual sessions.
