Operation Boo Dat 2025 has concluded following a multi-agency effort that resulted in the arrest of 38 individuals, including sexual predators and other felony suspects. The operation ran from October 16, 2025, through Saturday last week, and involved the New Orleans Police Department, the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, and multiple partner agencies.

According to a press release from the U.S. Marshals Service, 12 of those arrested were wanted for felony sex offender registration violations, with some having failed to comply with registration requirements for more than five years. During the operation, law enforcement also recovered an endangered 1½-year-old child from Baton Rouge through coordination between the U.S. Marshals Service Middle District of Louisiana Task Force and the Northern Florida Missing Child Unit.

Crimestoppers GNO assisted the effort by releasing a photo spread titled The House of Ghosts, which featured 30 fugitives. Officials said the release helped locate or arrest 10 individuals, while 20 suspects from the list remain at large.

Among those arrested were a former local high school dean accused of coercing students for sexual favors, a registered sex offender facing new charges related to child sexual abuse material, and a suspect already in custody for alleged sex crimes against a child who was taken into custody on additional charges. Other arrests included suspects linked to first-degree murder, rape and molestation of a juvenile, armed robbery, assault, and long-term failure to register as a sex offender.

The U.S. Marshals Service stated that the operation focused on locating individuals accused of serious violent and sexual offenses. Authorities continue to seek public assistance in locating remaining fugitives and encourage anyone with information to contact the U.S. Marshals Service New Orleans Task Force.
