
Orlando International Airport has been hit with a substantial number of cancellations and delays, with Flight Aware reporting early this morning at 7 a.m. that 122 flights had been canceled and close to four dozen others had faced delays. According to WFTV, on the previous day, more than 450 flights were canceled at the airport, and approximately 230 were delayed due to a winter storm sweeping through the United States.
Visibility on the unfolding situation can be maintained via up-to-date data from the airport's website, enabling travelers to check their flight status in an attempt to manage adjustments to their travel plans, the airport continues to tackle the operational disruptions, Flight Aware noted over 11,000 nationwide cancellations on Sunday, adding to the general travel turmoil with more than 5,000 delays reported the same day.
In the face of cancellations, travelers have been making efforts to adapt. As WESH reported, a Dallas traveler named Camilla Griffith described her situation, "It's no fun, we had to rebook, our flight was canceled, so hopefully we will be on a 3:40 flight out of here heading back to Dallas." Meanwhile, travelers bound for different destinations are reacting in various ways; some from snowy regions like Rochester seem less perturbed by the conditions, whereas others express a blend of hope and anxiety concerning their delayed journeys.
