
The Plymouth Police Department has recently made public the details of their weekly activities, providing a numerical breakdown of the various incidents they had to tackle. In a social media update, the department informed the community about their calls and responses for the week spanning January 18 to January 24. This disclosure, part of their regular public communication efforts, offers a glimpse into the routine and not-so-routine occurrences that effect, and affect, the local populace.
According to the Facebook post by Plymouth Police Department, officers addressed a total of 824 incidents over the seven days. The police also recorded 18 arrests and filed 13 criminal complaints. Traffic-related responses were high on the agenda, with 35 motor vehicle accidents attended to and 82 traffic stops conducted. On the community safety front, the department responded to 28 house and building alarms and investigated 8 instances of suspicious activity.
Notably, the police interaction with the community also encompassed health and mental wellbeing, with officers carrying out 46 checks related to medical or mental health issues. In addition to crime and safety measures, the update included less critical, yet resource-intensive calls, like 48 accidental 911 calls.
