
Plymouth Police Department has given the public a glimpse into their weekly operations with a recent social media post summarizing their activities between January 18 and January 24, 2026. According to the post, made on Facebook, the department handled a total of 824 incidents, which included 18 arrests and the filing of 13 criminal complaints. The officers of Plymouth were also called to respond to 35 motor vehicle accidents during this period, highlighting their unrelenting commitment to public safety.
Notably, the report highlights the wide range of calls the police department handles daily. There were 82 traffic stops, reflecting ongoing efforts to maintain order on the roads, and 28 house and building alarms. Additionally, there were 15 disturbances requiring police intervention, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of police work. Among other incidents, the department received 48 accidental 911 calls, which, while less critical, still required attention and resources, as officers must sift through these unintended alarms to ensure that those truly in need are not overlooked.
The local law enforcement’s responsibilities extended beyond crime and accidents, with a substantial part of their work dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the community. Their report showed that they conducted 46 medical, mental, and welfare checks over the week.
