Since stepping into his role in 1993, Taylor has not just been the Chaplain for the Rowan County Sheriff's Office, but he has also, emerged as a pivotal spiritual figure for many residents. In 1995, Taylor initiated the Shield-A-Badge with Prayer program, reinforcing his commitment to both law enforcement and spiritual guidance.
