The San Antonio Police Department is investigating an alleged kidnapping and sexual assault. According to KSAT, a 31-year-old woman reported being attacked at around 4 a.m. Saturday while waiting for a bus near the 2500 block of Harry Wurzbach Road. The suspect is described as a man between 30 and 40 years old.
The woman reported that she was forcibly dragged into a white van, had her eyes covered, and was driven to an undisclosed location. FOX San Antonio said she managed to find a weapon and escape, later seeking help at a neighbor’s home.
Authorities responded quickly, but the suspect was not apprehended. According to the San Antonio Police Department, the suspect vehicle and the exact location of the assault were not located. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The investigation has not yet identified the suspect or the exact location of the assault. Police are asking the public to provide any information that may help in the case. The department says it will continue working diligently to locate the perpetrator.
