Tonight’s forecast indicates an 80% chance of precipitation, with lighter rainfall expected compared to earlier in the day. Rain is forecast to continue on Wednesday, with a high near 43 degrees. South winds are expected at 11 to 13 mph, with gusts up to 21 mph.
On Thursday, precipitation is expected to begin as a mix of rain and snow showers before transitioning to rain after 10 a.m. The chance of precipitation remains around 80%, with little to no snow accumulation forecast.
The NWS forecasts continued wet conditions into the weekend, with ongoing chances of precipitation, cloudy skies, and temperatures remaining just below 50 degrees. Separately, a Coastal Flood Advisory issued earlier remains in effect until 10 a.m. PST.
The advisory states that minor coastal flooding is expected, with water levels potentially reaching 1.5 to 2.5 feet above ground level in areas including San Juan County and the lowlands of western Skagit County. The NWS warns that flooding may affect parking lots, parks, and roadways, with isolated road closures possible. Residents are advised to follow posted warnings, avoid barricaded areas, and use caution around floodwaters.
