The Shrewsbury Police Department has had a busy week, as reported in their latest crime report covering January 19 through January 25. Traffic violations seemed to have been a recurring theme, with several arrests made for licensing and insurance discrepancies.

An incident on January 20 involved a driver failing to properly display a vehicle's license plates. Further investigation by the officer revealed the driver was operating without a license, and the vehicle was uninsured. According to the Shrewsbury Police Crime Report, the driver was arrested.

Two days later, on January 22, the police stopped a vehicle sporting an expired and counterfeit temp tag. In a stroke of bad luck, or rather negligence, the driver had her driving status suspended by the State of Missouri and was found without insurance. As if fate was sealing her journey to custody, an active warrant was discovered, leading to her arrest.

On the same day, a resident reported to the authorities the mysterious disappearance of their license plate year tabs. The location or time frame of the theft remained undetermined. Another traffic stop on January 23 revealed yet another driver with a revoked status from Missouri. As with the previous cases, he faced arrest.

The ensuing day continued the trend when a vehicle displaying expired temp tags was pulled over. "The officer learned of her active warrants, for which she was arrested. She was transported to Saint Louis County intake to speak to their judge about her stint on the lam," detailed the Shrewsbury Police crime report. Despite the series of arrests, January 24-25 turned out to be peaceful for the Shrewsbury officers, even as they responded to multiple calls due to a dangerously charming snowstorm.

The weekly police summary also included five auto accidents, four reports of suspicious activity, and three theft incidents. Helping hand in hand with the fire department, officers assisted in 29 calls and conducted 89 traffic stops throughout the week.
