
The Metropolitan Police Department has taken into custody a man believed to be behind a series of break-ins, including a burglary in the Northwest corridor of the city, striking in the clarity of daylight, the MPD confirmed the arrest of 36-year-old Michael Lenard Pearson, aligning a string of offenses against the Southeast, D.C. resident.
Rooted in a recent invasion that transpired on Tuesday, January 13, authorities reported that around 12:15 p.m., an intruder trespassed into an occupied home on the 400 block of Q Street, absconding with the homeowner's money, although it was noted that the resident encountered no harm during the event; the official release by MPD detailed the occurrence.
On Sunday, January 18, Pearson received multiple charges, including Burglary One, tagged with CCN 26006104, the department conveyed an expanded investigation linking Pearson to at least two further incidents involving unlawful entry and theft, indicating a pattern in the suspect's method, MPD's notice relayed this association of charges.
The MPD also implicated Pearson in an unlawful entry incident that took place on Thursday, January 8, at roughly 11:30 a.m. on the 600 block of 11th Street, Northeast, followed by another episode on Sunday, November 9, 2025, around 12:15 p.m. located in the 2600 block of 13th Street, Northwest where he is alleged to have committed both unlawful entry and theft II; these instances were enclosed under respective CCN numbers 26003796 and 25170655, supporting data exist within the narrative dispatched by MPD.
